Locations and Administrative Assistant
Ivy Follett joined the Ottawa Film Office in 2019 as the Locations and Administrative Assistant coordinating film permitting and administration for the office. Prior to joining the team, Ivy worked with the City of Ottawa as both a Councillor’s Assistant and as part of the Event Central team, which she now partners with for film permits. She later went on to pursue a Graduate Certificate in Television Writing and Producing from Humber College. After working as a literary agent in Toronto, Ivy felt called back to her hometown of Ottawa to be close to her friends and family. She is passionate about building a film industry for people just like her, who want a career they love in a place that feels like home.
Ivy holds a Bachelor of Media and the Public Interest from the University of Western Ontario and a Graduate Certificate in Television Writing & Producing from Humber College. In her spare time, she likes to hike, cook, and catch up on the latest TV shows with her giant tuxedo cat, Mona.
